The Parish Council has installed two defibrillators in the village. These are situated on the outside of the Memorial Hall in West Street and on the ‘biomass’ building by the Prince of Wales pub on Ham Hill. Both defibrillators are regularly checked and information sent to the Ambulance Service.
Training in their use has been provided by Heartstart Somerset so within the Parish there are several members of the community who are fully trained to operate the defibrillator and give CPR.
There are also defibrillators at Castle School, Stanchester Academy and the Sports & Recreation Group Pavilion.
